quick question, if I already have an index.html page and it’s live, once I install wordpress through my control panel will wordpress take or remove the original index.html file and be replaced by wordpress?

@mlwebco Hi I had the same problem as hanausa16 re missing images. I checked my code for image location and it all looks ok – please advise what I might be missing here – many thanks

@andrecalvoandre You would have to update the page manually via HTML like using Dreamweaver or any text editor. No CMS unfortunately.
If you want to manage the content on the static page how would you do so?
hi mlwebco. you know once u import your html template page to wordpress. when creating a blog page hpw do you link up withing what theme that is already exist? do i have to create a blank page in html to hold up a content for it?

Great video, Ive seen alot of videos on uploading your own themes and your own designs to wordpress and there extremely complicated with tons of steps, but in this video you do it in jut a few minutes?are you able to make changes through the admin section of wordpress with these and change content through wordpress or add pages with this method
Hi, i did everything just like you said but when i go to the Template option all i get is “Default Template” or “One Column, No Sidebar”? How can i get my “Home Page” template that i put into the Themes folder to show up?

I have a question can you use html coding and make that the home page like you can in notepad but instead doing on your wp-admin and can you create custom pages that way?
@mlwebco did you use image html code for the images maybe that will work I did that and that seemed to work for me on the images.
Does this technique work with the latest version (3.1).

How do I create a custom post page? Not a custom home page. What I want to do is have the header and footer included in the page but not the sidebar and I want the page layout to be 100% of the screen.
